Arnold Schwarzenegger won the Mr. Universe title in 1970 at the age of 20 and became the youngest to earn a ‘pro card’ in history.The Terminatoractor held on to the record for 57 long years. However, 19-year-old teen Anton Ratushnyi has broken this record, earning his pro card by winning three National Physique Committee (NPC) titles in a row.

The journey to achieving this feat came no easy for the 5ft 11in tall bodybuilder. Ratushnyi trained for four years to get in shape and shared his bodybuilding journey on his Instagram account with 225k followers.

Anton Ratushnyi Beat Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 57-Year-Old Record
Anton Ratushnyi won his latest NPC title last week in Irvine in the Classic Physique category. Ratushnyi has become the youngest IFBB classic pro and the overall champion at the NPC Nationals 2023. He is just 19 and earned the pro card one year earlier than the record holder for 57 years,Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In his heartfelt Instagram note after the achievement, Ratushnyi noted that his win comes after facing a lot of adversity in the past years. He added that he believed in himself and decided to pursue the career without all the negativity in the field affecting him. He mentioned that he had been trying for this feat for some time now. Ratushnyi also wants his achievement to inspire the new generation of bodybuilders.

Arnold Schwarzenegger began lifting weights at the age of 15 and won his first title, Junior Mr. Europe, in 1965. At 19, theFUBARactor won the Mr. Europe title, following which he won the Mr. Universe title in 1970. The latter title also earned him a pro card at 20 years old, the youngest at the time.

Ratushnyi is 5ft 11in tall and weighs 245lbs. Chris Bumstead, the Classic Physique champion who has won the last five titles in the category in Mr. Olympia, has invited Ratushnyi to participate in the competition.

Anton Ratushnyi’s Mind-Blowing Transformation
Anton Ratushnyi’s latest win at the NPC Championship was secured through his well-executed training and nutrition plans. In an Instagram post, Ratushnyi posted two photos side by side taken when he was 15 and 18, showing his incredible transformation. The young bodybuilder has been strength training almost every day for years now and shares his rigorous routine with his followers.
The Ukrainian bodybuilder’s routine includes full-body bodyweight exercises, weight training, and cardio, all of which target all the muscle groups. Ratushnyi’s 4-times-a-day meals include various kinds of food rich in proteins. In one of his posts, he also mentions that his source of motivation after getting rejected during his transformation period was to do extreme pull-ups.

While appreciated by many, Anton Ratushnyi also faced some criticisms. One of the controversial comments came from the veteran Lee Priest, who directed harsh comments toward Ratushnyi and suggested that he didn’t have the potential to succeed in the field.
