Christian Bale’saudition tape for the lead role inThe Dark Knighttrilogy shed some new light. Alongside stars like Cillian Murphy and Eion Bailey, Bale also auditioned for the character. And the audition tape reveals the actor auditioning alongside him,Amy Adams.
The Machiniststar can be seen in Val Kilmer’s suit from the 1995 filmBatman Forever,and the future Lois Lane can be seen reading the part of Rachel Dawes in the audition. According to theEnchantedstar, she was so moved by his performance that she ended up crying during the audition. The director of the film, Christopher Nolan, was also surprised to see her breaking down.
