Jason Momoa‘sAquaman and the Lost Kingdomis finally released in theatres this Friday. The film is set to be the last film in the DCU, and fans are hoping that the film will prove to be a good sendoff of the current DCU before James Gunn’s reboot in 2025.
The film has already been released in China two days early, and the film has received an aggregate audience rating in the country. In a post uploaded by Home of DCU onX, the film received an overwhelmingly high score of 9.1 from the audiences on Moayan. The post also claims that this rating is equivalent to an A CinemaScore in the states.

In China, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom received a 9.1 score on Maoyan, which is equivalent to an A Cinema Score.

The film’s hype has been comparatively low than the first film, and its box office tracking is also underwhelming. Jason Momoa Would Love To Play Aquaman in James Gunn’s DCU
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdommay be Jason Momoa’s last film as Aquaman as James Gunn is rebooting the IP with 2025’sSuperman: Legacy. “The truth of it is — I mean, if the audience loves it, then there’s a possibility. I don’t “necessarily want it to be the end … [but] I don’t think it’s really, like, a choice.”
