The 1997 film, directed by Joel Schumacher, featuredGeorge Clooneyin the role of Batman inBatman & Robinfeaturing Arnold Schwarzenegger in the role of Mr. Freeze. However, the superhero film was a massive disappointment at the box office as the film collected only $238.3 million, despite having a budget of $42.3 million. As a result, many people do not remember the portrayal of the actor in the superhero role.
During an exclusive interview with The Guardian,Michael Keatonshared how did not bond with George Clooney because when the actor called“Brotherhood,”the actor did not remember his portrayal until someone reminded him that Clooney played the iconic character in the 1997 film.

“I didn’t [talk about Batman with George Clooney], but he used to shout at me, ‘Hey, the brotherhood!’ And I’d go, ‘Hey!’ But I had no idea what he meant. I swear to God! And he did it a bunch of times: ‘Brotherhood!’ And then someone explained it to me, and I was like, ‘Ohhhhh!’ I mean, I think I’d forgotten he was in [Batman & Robin].”
Clooney’s portrayal was not only forgotten by Michael Keaton but also by the DC fandom. As a result, he made a return to the role, which sent the fans into surprise in the new DC movie.
