Carrie Fisher was going through a tough time back while shooting the sequel trilogy
Looking back at the old days, in an interview withNPR,Carrie Fisher lamented that she never had someone whom she could fall on. In her teens at the time, the experience of working with George Lucas and Co. was something altogether different for her. What made the situation more difficult for her to manage was the affair with Harrison Ford. She said,
“I didn’t have anyone to confide in. I had no friends, and I couldn’t talk about [the affair with Ford] because he was married.”

The Burbsstar would have a hard time dealing with her thoughts. Things went back to normal only after she started venting her emotions in a journal.

The late actress was determined that her co-star should have a better experience than her. Fisher would share her experiences and the lessons she learned from her time while working on the film with the 31-year-old.
While in a conversation onInterview(viaCollider),Fisher once shared howStar Warschanges one’s dating life. She also told theOpheliastar to take her stand when it matters. She told Ridley to ensure that she was not pushed into a spot of bother, like the time Fisher found herself in the role of a slave. She said,

“Well, you should fight for your outfit. Don’t be a slave like I was.”
Daisy Ridley said,“All right, I’ll fight.”
Looking back, thePeter Rabbitstar considered it a shame that she couldn’t learn more from her co-star.
