Chainsaw Manby Tatsuki Fujimoto is quite a successful and popular new-generation shonen anime. The manga received a lot of positive feedback from fans because of its vivid aesthetic and storytelling.

The Editorial Team of Shonen Jump did a Jump author survey which included some very popular manga authors like Eiichiro Oda, Tatsuki Fujimoto, Kohei Horikoshi, Gege Akutami, Koyoharu Gotouge, Tite Kubo, and others.
They’re asked different questions. However, one question was how they created a manga, to which Fujimoto told the aspiring Mangaka to keep Itadori’s training in mind while writing a story.

Chainsaw Man’sauthor, Fujimoto was asked in the interview,“What do you bear in mind when creating manga (e.g., personal themes and throughlines)?”to which the Mangaka cheekily replied,“I try to create scenes that readers will remember until the day they gasp their dying breaths!”,according to theGuide to Making Manga.

When Fujimoto was asked about what his thoughts were on making sure a manga was readable, he said in the Guide to Making Manga to keep“the text and explanations to a minimum.”He also offered another advice, which was more of a warning,“Don’t fall too in love with anything you do. Kill your darlings.”
Fujimoto is known for including references from a plethora of movies and media in his manga. His best advice for upcoming manga authors was to watch as much Netflix as they can.

Tatsuki Fujimoto started his career as a manga artist with a series of one-shots.There Were Two Chickens in the Gardenwas his first one-shot, which was nominated for 2011’s Jump SQ Monthly Award. However, Fujimoto’s first major serialization wasFire Punch.

It revolved around a dystopian thriller that continued from 2016 to 2018. Fujimoto finally started his iconicChainsaw Manafter working on two more one-shots. This dark fantasy anime became successful and acquired several awards, including Best Shōnen Manga at the Shogakukan Manga Awards and Best Manga at the Harvey Awards for 2021 and 2022.
The story ofChainsaw Manrevolves around a young adult named Denji who resides in a shack along with his devil dog, Pochita. After both of them die at the hands of the Yakuza, the four-legged devil sacrifices himself to save the life of his friend. After Denji regains consciousness, he finds himself a completely different person, more like a ruthless and bloodthirsty Chainsaw Devil.
