She added,

“I mean it’s there, it’s in my office — what he does with his time is what he does with his time…so he gets to read the scripts, he gets to come and visit and see the sets and is a part of it. What if I didn’t tell him anything and I just held it over him like a power play?”

HowHIMYMhelped Cobie Smulders understand Maria Hill’s fate

Josh Radnor played Ted Mosby inHow I Met Your Mother. Bob Saget played Ted’s counterpart 25 years later, trying to tell his adolescent children about his and his friends’ dating exploits. Ted’s contentious revelation that Tracy McConnell (Cristin Milioti), the children’s mother, passed away from an unknown disease six years prior to Ted’s decision to inform them about it, marked the conclusion of the series. His kids want him to ask Robin out when he finishes the story, so he does. An alternative ending was removed and made accessible in the DVD version.

Smulders, who starred in a number of MCU films and TV shows, is aware that Marvel fans may be just as fanatical asHIMYMfans, but she still has faith in the process.

“I mean, listen, it would’ve been great. Of course, I would’ve loved to do more, but I trust that Marvel is doing the storyline that they think is best. I feel bad if their reaction is negative and they don’t like it, but I think that there is also something positive to take away from that. They were so connected to the story and these characters that they cared. That is beautiful and wonderful.”

Smulders’ character, Maria Hill, shockingly, got killed off at the conclusion of the latest installment ofSecret Invasion.Even though the ending has made a lot of fans angry, it looks like Smulders believes there is more to the story.
