But Schwarzenegger could only grab the leading role inKindergarten Copafter hisTwinsco-star, Danny DeVito, got rejected because of his height.

Arnold Schwarzeneggershared that he always wanted to venture into the comedic genre but he failed to do so as studios were reluctant to pursue any roles apart from action, as they were making decent amounts through it. However, fate took a different turn when Schwarzenegger crossed paths with director Ivan Reitman, which led to their collaboration inTwins,and subsequently, thePredatorstar got a chance to star in his favorite film to date,Kindergarten Cop.The Running Manstar even added that he thoroughly enjoyed working with film director,Ivan Reitmanand his on-screen twin, Danny DeVito.

“I think Kindergarten Cop [is my favorite]. I think one of the comedies [would be my favorite] because for so many years, I tried to get into comedy and I couldn’t. The studios made all this money from action movies. They said, ‘Why would we go and change the mould? We’re making a lot of money with you. We keep giving you action scripts’. Then, when I finally met Ivan Reitman, and when we did Twins and then we did Kindergarten Cop, I was in heaven. It was such a great director and working with Danny DeVito. It was really great”.

Schwarzenegger’s role in his favorite movie was associated with several stars before him and this included hisTwinsco-starDanny DeVito.It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphiastar was being considered for the main role of Detective John Kimble but the director of the film, Ivan Reitman, decided not to move forward with DeVito’s name because of his short height. The role eventually went to theTerminator 2: Judgement Daystar and became a massive hit.
