Martin Scorsese claims that he is keeping the art of cinema alive

Later in the interview, Scorsese explained that he has always made efforts with his movies to keep the art of cinema alive,

“I’m trying to keep alive the sense that cinema is an artform. The next generation may not see it that way because as children and younger people, they’re exposed to films that are wonderful entertainment, beautifully made, but are purely diversionary. I think cinema can enrich your life. As I’m leaving, I’m trying to say: Remember, this can really be something beautiful in your life.”

Scorsese isn’t a huge fan of modern cinema, especially big-budget Marvel movies. In 2019, the director said these movies are not real cinema and compared them to theme parks.
