Marvel Studios unveiled a massive revelation a few months ago at the San Diego Comic-Con about MCU’s Phase Six.Fantastic Fourwill be the first movie to open this season with two plannedAvengersfilms under the new Multiverse saga. With this information, fans expect Marvel’s greatest villain, Doctor Doom, will make his appearance sooner or later.
Aside from possibly being the main antagonist of theFantastic Fourmovie, the villain is also a nemesis of Kang the Conqueror and in theSecret Warsstoryline. With such a huge obligation, fans believe that Doctor Doom is not just an ordinary foe – he is a threat to the multiverse itself.

Who Is Doctor Doom?
The character was introduced in 1962 on the pages ofFantastic Four#5 created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The franchise was Marvel’s most popular comic back in those days, which made Doctor Doom the most iconic villain. He has fought theAvengers,Spider-Man, and many other notable heroes.
Victor von Doom, his real name, is known for his menacing presence, long speeches filled with terror and threats, and practically the enemy of all superhero groups. His villain origin story could be traced back to when he andReed Richards/Mister Fantastic were once friends. A science experiment gone wrong horribly disfigured his face, and Doom believed it was Richards who orchestrated the machine malfunction. The doctor then vowed to gain a copious amount of power and exact revenge against his colleague.

Fans Think Doctor Doom Is More Than Just A Fantastic Four Villain
The 1984 and 2015Secret Warsstorylines revealed Doctor Doom operating in the same timeline that involved the entire Marvel Universe. With this, fans can expect the villain to finally join the MCU. Many previously speculated that he will appear as the villain inBlack Panther’s sequel, but seeing this is not the case as mentioned inSmall Screen’s post, he might appear somewhere else.
In a Twitter post byCulture Crave, Doctor Doom will not be the main villain inFantastic Four. Speculations regarding the movie’s villain offer Molecule Man, which totally works seeing his story connects with Kevin Feige’s Multiverse saga. However, there has been no confirmation yet.

Many agreed that Doom should now exist outside theFantastic Fourfranchise. It needs a new villain, and fans need to see the antagonist’s greater potential in a bigger story. Afan from Twittersaid, “Doom is a type of villain that must be built,” which complements the suggestion of afan from Reddit: “They should tease him [Doctor Doom] over multiple films (both FF and others) like they did Thanos.”

Fans will have to wait for further details regarding Doctor Doom’s upcoming appearance in the MCU. Some reports sayAdam Driverhas been tapped to play Victor von Doom, although other sources say he’s already in line for the role of Reed Richards.
