Was Dwayne Johnson Really Going to Sue DC and James Gunn?
According to industry sources,Dwayne Johnsonis not suing DC or Warner Bros. However, given the actor’s recent box office failure withBlack Adamas well as his subsequent exit alongside “Superman” actor Henry Cavill, the reports regarding DC being sued have somehow managed to gain traction.
James Gunn and Peter Safran, the co-CEOs of DC Studios, have been successful in their management.Black Adam‘s cancellation, though, has some fans wondering what is going on at DC.

The Rock is allegedly suing DC for what they did to the projectsBlack Adamand a few others, as per a report.
However, in a recent report,The Comic Book Casttalked about the hot topic and attempted to figure out the truth. The rumors that The Rock would sue DC or Warner Brothers were completely debunked by them.

The rumor, in the words of CBC, is “absolutely stupid” and is nothing more than bogus journalism. According to the report, major studios make sure that nothing like this occurs when contracts are signed.
Dwayne Johnson has been a vocal advocate of the DC franchise and has been eagerly anticipating the release of hisBlack Adammovie for 15 years. Johnson was let go by Warner Bros. as a result because the movie was underwhelmed, despite his star power.

Would that be a Good Idea?
However, experts advise that any actor would be taking a big risk by suing a major studio like Warner Bros. A lawsuit would not likely be well received by the merged company, Warner Bros. Discovery which is already having financial challenges. Also, a similar action would harm The Rock’s image in the industry and jeopardize upcoming projects.
“The studio always comes out on top” is the operating principle and The Rock should know better than to go to war with Warner Bros. because it would be the most foolish and irresponsible carnage witnessed in the history of the media and entertainment industry.
Studios will be mindful of signing an actor who, in the event of fallout, would go to such great lengths. At this moment, suing WB doesn’t help anyone to gain anything.
Black Adamis available for streaming on HBO Max.
