Everything you need to know about the Night Aspect in Elden Ring Nightreign, and how to easily defeat the Nightlord, solo.
Night Apsect, akaHeolstor, the Nightlord, is easily the most challenging boss in Elden Ring Nightreign, prior to theEverdark SovereignNightlords, of course. Heolstor is essentially an amalgamation of all previous “knight bosses” that FromSoftware has created over the decade, warped into a single entity, who also possess the power of summoning affinities from other Nightlords. Suffice it to say, Heolstor is a force to be reckoned with, especially on the game’s solo mode. However, despite the challenge, Night Aspect is one of the most fun bosses to fight in single-player mode.

In order to stand a chance at victory against the boss, you will need a proper strategy. You cannot just brute force Heolstor, even with aLevel 15Nightfarer. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to easily defeat the Night Aspect in Elden Ring Nightreign’s solo mode.
Overview of the Night Aspect in Elden Ring Nightreign
As the final boss of Elden Ring Nightreign’s campaign, Night Aspect is a major challenge. Apart from the Everdark bosses, Heolstor is the only boss in the entire game that gains very high immunity to affinity damage in the second phase. Furthermore, it is also the only boss in vanilla Nightreign who has two phases to his battle, complete with separate health bars. In addition to that, similarly toEverdark Libra, Heolstor also has an “RNG” gimmick to his boss fight, which can catch you off guard. However, there are plenty of ways to power through the boss.
Much like other Nightlords, you may weaken Heolstor significantly with affinity damage. Furthermore, using damage negation passives massively helps in this battle. Furthermore, some Nightfarers likeRaider,Wylder, and evenDuchesswork well against this boss. As for the weaknesses, Heolstor is only weak toHoly. You can inflict the boss withScarlet RotandPoison, but it won’t make much of a difference. Holy is where you want to focus for affinity builds.
Inflicting Holy on Heolstor not only staggers the boss, but also appliesdefense down, which makes it easier to reduce chunks of his HP with single attacks. Additionally, with defense down applied, Heolstor also gets a major poise debuff. As such, you will be able to stance-break the boss easily, with characters like Raider and even Ironeye.

Additional Notes
If you don’t have any Relics that grantHolyon your starting armament, we strongly recommend against usingEdge of Order, unless you plan on using Ironeye. While Edge of Order does apply Holy to your weapon, the rest of its perks aren’t useful for Nightfarers other than Ironeye. Instead, it’s best to re-roll the Expedition until you get a few Holy camps to spawn.
