In a recent interview, Bell got candid about the movie and described his co-star and on-screen son as a ‘teenager’.

While he knew the movie was going to be a real tear-jerker, he had a fun time shooting the movie with his 10-year older co-star Scott aka his on-screen son and actressClaire Foy, who plays his wife. While talking toThe Hollywood Reporter, he remarked,
“He’s such an easy person to love, she’s a phenomenal actress. Weirdly off set we were kind of also still a family; we shot at Andrew Haigh’s childhood home and would go next door to another house that was the holding room, and me and Claire would watch the tennis, because Wimbledon was on, and [Scott] would disappear upstairs like a teenager.”

Despite the movie being a heart-wrenching romantic fantasy, the actors managed to have fun, almost feeling like a real family.

While the movie hasn’t been released yet, critic reviews reveal the movie is a devastating watch with an exceptional storyline and splendid performances by the cast. Even the lead of the movie, Andrew Scott believes his movie is ‘truly heartbreaking’ (via The Hollywood Reporter),
“I thought it was really one of the most extraordinary scripts I’d ever read. Truly heartbreaking. I was really in bits after reading the script and the finished movie really doesn’t differ too much from the original script.”
Scott added that the movie is more emotional than sad and that it is audacious and touching at the same time. Meanwhile, his co-star Bell echoed the same thoughts, claiming the movie is a ‘nuclear-grade tear-jerker’.
