The Project Codename being used forGTA 6
ActorReggie Talleyhas allegedly mentioned on hisrésuméthat he is acting in a new game currently in development, with its title yet to be determined, codenamedFireball. Fans of the series who have been following the trend inRockstar‘snaming scheme when it comes to huge titles likeGTA 6have noticed some similarities in the nomenclature.
Previous titles also had interesting codenames, and taking into consideration thatRockstar Gameshas paused development on the remasters ofGTA 4andRed Dead Redemption, it makes sense that they would want to focus all their resources onGTA 6.So there’s a pretty huge chance that the codenameFireballis, in fact, referring toGTA 6.

The codenameFireballhas also appeared on other actors’ résumés, and it seems thatReggie Talleywill only have a supporting role in this next title. Considering that all their CVs mention the title of the game as “yet to be decided”, we can assume that it’sGTA 6, as it seems to be the only major title currently in development atRockstar.
This is all still speculation. For all we know,Fireballmay not even be related toGTA 6in the slightest, but there are reasons to believe so.

Why Codenames are so Important, especially when it comes toGTA 6
Many anticipated projects use codenames so that the public is unaware of any of the developments made during production.GTA 6has been a victim when it comes to having information leaked. When gameplay footage from the title leaked, and it was quite a chunk of gameplay, there was a huge uproar on the Internet, with the main complaint being that the game did not look up to standards.
The criticism was quite unfair, as the game is still in development. Many game developers supportedRockstarby showing footage taken when their game was still in development to give the public an idea of what games look like when still in development. Many thought that the game still looked quite unfinished, but their anger was cooled after seeing other developers’ game development footage.

But what do you think of the codename? Are you excited forGTA 6? Let us know in the comments!
