Get ready for the next big adventureFinal Fantasy 14fans because the next expansion for the massive MMORPG has just been announced, and it’s calledDawntrail. At theFinal Fantasy 14Fan Festival, Square Enix revealed tons of exciting news, most notable of which were the announcements of the new expansion as well as the title coming to Xbox.

Final Fantasy 14has come a long way from its horrible release. The original title had one of gaming’s most notorious launches, but after a slew of revisions, it’s one of, if not the most popular, MMORPGs out there. And now more people will get to take part in the epic adventure.

Dawntrail to be The Next Major Expansion For Final Fantasy 14
Announced at theFinal Fantasy 14Fan Festival,Dawntrailwill be the next adventure for you to embark on. Along with the announcement came a teaser trailer, which shows what the story will have to offer. Square Enix has previously released several massive expansions for the title, withEndwalkerbeing the most recent. Though many consider it a fitting conclusion, some are still craving more.
Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrailwill officially release in Summer 2024. It’s quite a long wait, but it seems fitting, as the expansion has been described as feeling like “a Summer Vacation worthy of a hero”. The expansion will feature a new continent to explore.

The teaser also features many returning heroes with a fresh coat of paint. That’s right,Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrailwill feature the title’s first ever graphical enhancement. Even in its current state, the game looks wonderful, but the fact that it can and will look even better is mind-blowing and really exciting.
Both Final Fantasy 14 and it’s New Expansion Dawntrail Are Coming To Xbox
Finally, after almost 10 years,Final Fantasy 14is coming to Xbox. More specifically the Xbox Series X/S consoles. Unfortunately, there will be no Xbox One version of the game. The game will also be available with all the previously released expansions, and the upcomingDawntrailexpansion will also be available once it releases.
As announced by Square Enix at theFinal Fantasy 14Fan Festival, the game will release on Xbox Series X/S in Spring 2024. It’ll be a long wait, but thankfully it’ll release a bit beforeDawntrail,allowing players to experience the previous content before moving on to the new expansion.

Not only that, the previously released free trial is being expanded so you can test the waters before jumping into the sea of content. The free trial will now also include theStormbloodexpansion. This free trial will also be available for Xbox Players once the game releases in the Spring of next year.

A Slew of New Updates Are Coming to the MMORPG
Massive updates for the game are on the way, including a collab withFall Guys.Both games will feature rewards for players to collect. Multiple new systems will be introduced, and plenty of new jobs will keep you busy. And for the heavy grinders, the level cap is also being raised from 90 to 100. All this andDawntrailwill ensure thatFinal Fantasy 14will be more relevant than ever in the years to come.
