Yesterday, after the launch of most awaited Apple Watch, iOS version 8.2 is also released as a part of launch to support Apple Watch primarily but it also has other important updates for all of us who don’t yet have Apple Watch. It’s available as an over-the-air update or through iTunes for any device running iOS 8, including the iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, and 6 Plus; all iPads except the first-generation model; and the fifth-generation iPod Touch. Following are some of the most important updates in iOS 8.2:

Apple Watch Support

The biggest feature update is support for the Apple Watch. The device will work with the iPhone 5 and newer models, but it will not work with iPads or iPods. Once you’ve tethered a watch to your phone, a new companion app will allow you to change the watch’s settings, organize its Home screen, and make other changes. Improvements in HomeKit

HomeKitis automation geared and will allow users to control Internet-enabled devices at home. With HomeKit, you may create actions to control those devices. Users can group actions together and trigger them using Siri.

Improvements in Health App

Health App was AppleResearchKitinitiative, that pulls data from multiple sources including the Apple Watch and iPhone for users to share their HealthKit data with medical researchers hoping to tackle a wide array of diseases. With initial launch of Health App in iOS 8 introduced many bugs which were completely fixed in 8.2.
