The gaming community is impatient to see the first look ofGTA 6, to feast their eyes on what Rockstar Games have been developing for more than a decade now. The game is said to be one of the most expensive games ever, with rumors hinting at Rockstar Games spending between $1 billion to $2 billion for the game to drastically improve the graphics and realism in the game.

GTA 6 is speculated to integrate the online mode in a way that will be unlike GTA Online.

WhileGTA 5has been the most successful title in theGrand Theft Autofranchise in terms of sales,GTA Onlinestill keeps gamers playing the game to this day. There have been several rumors surrounding the next title in the franchise, but gamers are most concerned about whether or not a multiplayer version will be released along with the game.

GTA Online Was Released Two Weeks After GTA 5, GTA 6 Could Follow Suit

Last year, the biggest leak in gaming history gave everyone a glimpse at the next title in the franchise when several videos of alpha footage from Rockstar Games featured an untitled game under development. Rockstar Games had to acknowledge the disappointment after the leaks went public, forcing them to admit for the first time that the next title in theGrand Theft Autofranchise was indeed under development.

The leaks showed footage from the main campaign, where two characters were seen in action. So far, nothing about the game’s online mode has leaked, but quite a lot of different speculations have been doing the rounds about how the game’s online mode will be integrated into the game.

Rockstar Games announced they are partnering with Cfx.re back in August this year.

GTA Onlinelaunched on the 1st of October 2013, which was two weeks afterGTA 5‘s release. Having heard nothing about the online mode in the nextGTAtitle, speculations have been complicated with each rumor sounding completely different than the rest.

One of the rumors about the game’s online mode comes from aninsiderclaim from earlier this year that mentionedGTA 6follows in the steps ofFortniteseasons, to have an ever-evolving map that gets updated and expanded on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Fortniteseasons include live events every 10-12 weeks, during which the game adds changes to the game’s map and new weapons, comparable toGTA Online‘s monthly events that bring double cash and double XP to help gamers level up quickly.

GTA 6was always predicted to have the biggest map in the franchise, and going by these rumors about the online mode inGTA 6, the map might not have all the sections unlocked right at the beginning, but get opened through paid or free DLCs post-launch.

Overwatch 2 Season 10 has Done the Unthinkable, and Fans Aren’t Impressed

Another important aspect ofGTA Onlineat present is the massive roleplaying community, one of which was recently acquired by Rockstar Games.

GTA 6 Online Mode Could Get Dedicated, Official Roleplay Servers

On the 11th of August this year, Rockstar Games officiallyannouncedthat the team of Cfx.re is officially a part of the studio. The team known as Cfx.re, created the infamous roleplay and creator communities, FiveM and RedM that saw a massive fan following, and expanded the possibilities of ways in which players could playGTA Online.

Rockstar made the announcement stating that Rockstar’s creative community has found “new ways to expand the possibilities of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, particularly through the creation of dedicated roleplay servers.”

Rockstar Games mentioned that they are partnering up with the team of Cfx to find even more ways to support the community and “improve the services they provide to their development and players.”

FiveM servers have been a massive success among the roleplay community who have their own unofficial dedicated servers and take on a persona online that’s unlike anythingGTA Onlineoffers. Players stay in character all the time as they make money through jobs, heists, and playing different sports, while some of the servers even feature an entire setup based in the 80s.

These servers tend to have a lot of rules and regulations that keep players in check at all times, but long-time players tend to still have a lot of fun. Fans have been divided about Rockstar Games officially partnering with one of the most popular roleplay server providers, with some praising the move, while others speculate something sinister by Rockstar Games as they fear it could bring additional ways to add more microtransactions.

Adding official roleplay servers could be massive to the next version of the online mode and might just takeGTA 6to a whole new level that wasn’t officially achieved throughGTA Online.
