Rockstar Games finally made the one announcement that the gaming community has been waiting for,GTA 6will get a trailer early next month. December marks the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games, for which Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games released a lengthy message and thanked the gaming community.
The biggest announcement came towards the end of Houser’s message, as he finally announced that a trailer would be released early next month for the nextGrand Theft Autotitle. Nothing else was mentioned beyond that, and while gamers will no doubt be hyped as ever, it’s not a bad time to look at all the rumored locations that are expected to be featured inGTA 6.
Parts of Vice City Locations to Feature in GTA 6
Rockstar Games finally dropped the ball byannouncinga direct update about the next Grand Theft Auto title, revealing that a trailer is on the way and will land early next month. Before exploring the expected locations for the nextGrand Theft Autotitle, it’s wise to take the rumors with a huge pinch of salt. A lot of the details are expected to be revealed along with the trailer, but until then, these are the latest rumors about the expected locations.
One of the oft-repeated rumors surrounding the next title in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is Miami being one of the central locations to feature inGTA 6. AGTAgame set in Miami will immediately remind long-time franchise fans of the blockbuster 2002 title,Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
Vice Citywas known for many things in the franchise, but fans talk the most about the game’s locations. The entire city is so beloved by the franchise fans, that most know every corner of the map, albeit the map isn’t as big compared to modern games.
A fictional version of the city of Florida is said to be the central location forGTA 6, which will feature several landmarks from real-life Miami.GTA 5featured more than fifteen fictional versions of real-life locations in the game, andGTA 6is expected to feature even more real-life locations from around Florida and Miami.
Franchise fans will remember Little Haiti, Ocean View Hotel, Malibu Club, and Vice Beach, and some of these locations, if not all of them are highly expected to feature inGTA 6.
GTA 6 Could Get Back to the Hood and Feature Grove Street in Los Santos
Another location that will remain forever etched in the memories of the franchise fans is Grove Street fromGTA San Andreas. The street was also featured inGTA 5, where one of the missions takes place. Grove Street is located in Los Santos and even if Los Santos isn’t featured inGTA 6in its entirety, parts of the location, including Grove Street are highly likely to make a return.
Grove Street being the iconic location that it is, players were a bit depressed to see Ballas being more prominent in the area when it was depicted inGTA 5. A modern layout of the memorable street filled with NPCs depicting the Grove Street families could add much-needed nostalgia to the nextGTAtitle.
Another familiar city that might also be depicted in a way in the nextGrand Theft Autotitle, is Liberty City while also including the State of Alderney which was last featured inGrand Theft Auto IVandEpisodes from Liberty City.
GTA 6is said to have a massive map and it’s quite possible that parts of Los Santos and parts of Liberty City could feature in one massive map, which could also include the aforementioned Vice City.
Other Possible Locations That Could Feature in GTA 6
GTA 6has also been rumored multiple times to have an evolving map and parts of the map that get unlocked through a future DLC.Vice Cityhad sections of the map that were kept locked until players completed the required number of missions in the main story, leading up to the properties and characters in the locked region.
The massiveGTA 6map is also heavily rumored to include a city based on Rio de Janeiro and a Cuba-like island. EarlyGTA 6rumors mentioned Rockstar Games’ vision of including as many North and South American cities as depicted in the nextGTAtitle.
GTA 6is bound to feature a massive map that’s brand new to the franchise to give players the new game feeling, while also including expanded versions of familiar locations and landmarks from previousGrand Theft Autotitles.
