Every run you make through the game is split into several weeks. Each week has 3 Days, 3 Nights and a boss battle. You can choose to fight the boss early on in a week by picking that option from the pause menu. However, even if you do that, you cannot bypass the rest of that week. Each boss you kill will add two new item slots for you.
Days will last 50x steps, while nights last 30x steps. Also, during the day, you will be able to see in a radius of 5 tiles around you. At night, the sight radius reduces to 3 tiles. During the day, the enemy remains still even if they see you. However, during the nighttime, they’ll give chase if they spot you. Once that happens, there is no way to avoid fighting them.
