It might have been the failure ofThor: Love and Thunderor he was just bored of the franchise but director Taika Waititi is set not to return to direct theThorfranchise again. Moving on to different projects,Chris Hemsworthrecently worked on the movieFuriosa.

Working alongside director George Miller (fromMad Max: Fury Roadfame), Hemsworth revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair (viaScreenRant) that George Miller is one of the most creative directors out there.
“I’m just at the point of my life where I’m meeting with different directors and [people say] “Oh yeah, look, he’s a mad genius. He’s mad, but he’s a genius and he’ll make great films.” I’m like, “Is that who I want to spend my days with?” Four months, five months of shooting and then you’ve got press and possible reshoots and so on.”
He further continued,
“Now, if something’s going to pull me away from my family and my kids, it’s got to be a positive, constructive, collaborative experience. I shot with George Miller on the new prequel to Fury Road, part of the Mad Max saga, and I said to my agent, “That’s where I want to spend my work hours; with someone who is kind and collaborative and interesting.”
Although the actor didn’t specifically say that he’d wish to work onThor 5with George Miller, it is pretty much implied that if the actor were to return to the MCU, he wouldn’t come alone.

After his departure, the director sat down for an interview withBusiness Insiderto talk about how he and Marvel have an“open relationship”.Stating that he doesn’t mind other directors working on the franchise, Waititi had a peculiar choice of words!
“I would never feel like they are cheating on me. We’re in an open relationship, and it’s like if they want to see other people, I’m happy for that. I’d still get back into bed with them one day.”
AlthoughThor 5isn’t confirmed, Chris Hemsworth seems pretty excited to return for one more film. If director George Miller were to work onThor 5,the movie would no doubt be an epic adventure!
