Charlie Cox Talks About His Character InTreason
While doing press for the series, Charlie Cox talked about his character, Adam Lawrence, and one of the biggest debated questions relating to him, which is, is Lawrence a good person or does he deserve to be in jail? The actor revealed that he is quite conflicted when it comes to this, however, he ended up feeling that Lawrence is not as bad as some say.
“I went back and forth on this,”says Cox.“I ended up feeling that what makes him a hero is that he’s able to ultimately do the right thing at great cost to himself. And he’s able to admit to and recognize past failings. I think that is the essence of modern-day heroes because nobody’s perfect.”

He went on to say that what makes his character a good person is the fact that he is willing to do the right thing, regardless of the cost, even if it was personal. Cox then went on to add that this is what makes modern-day heroes so much better, the fact that their morals are not black and white, but rather, lay on a grey scale.
