How to Transfer Files to Amazon Fire TV Stick From Android (And Vice-Versa)
Want to watch the movie you downloaded on your phone or play photos and videos of your recent trip on Amazon Fire TV? Unfortunately, you can’t transfer files directly from your Android phone to Fire TV Stick. Luckily there are bunch of third-party apps that let you do that. Here’s how to transfer files betwee Fire TV Stick and Android.
Transfer Files Between Amazon Fire TV Stick and Android
While there are many apps, here we are using the Send Files to TV app as it offers the most intuitive way and can transfer files between Android phone and Fire TV Stick.
1.Install Send Files to TV app on your Android phone and Fire TV Stick.

2.Open the app on both devices and grant storage permission. Make sure both the devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
3.To send files from Android to Fire TV Stick, open the Send Files to TV app on your Android phone.
4.Tap onSendand select the file (long-press to select multiple files and tap on the checkmark icon at the top).
5.On the next page, tap on your TV listed here. (If your TV is not showing up, make sure you are connected to the same Wi-Fi and then open the app on the TV)
Note:If you don’t know your TV’s device name, open Send Files to the TV app on your TV, select Settings and you will find the device name of your TV.
How to Access Files on Fire TV Stick
Fire TV Stick does not come with a built-in file manager. But you may download one from the Appstore on the Fire TV Stick. I prefer theTvExplorerapp for its minimal approach.

Open the TvExplorere app, and grant permission to storage . Navigate toExternal Storage > Download. In that folder, you’ll find all the files and folders you transferred.
You can use the File Managers to play the audio or video files right from the storage folders.
