Iñaki Godoy’s portrayal of Luffy is considered by many to be the best live-action Luffy possible. Mackenyu’s Zoro, with his deadpan deliveries, is lauded as one of the funniest characters. Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji all bring magnetism, delight, and charm to their roles.
The supporting cast also stands out, which is vital in a series where side characters often have dedicated fan followings. Morgan Davies captures the anxious essence of Koby, and Aidan Scott’s portrayal of Helmeppo is praised as a perfect fit.
Alongside these funny and likable characters, the portrayal of the villain leads also appeared like a pleasant surprise to the audience. Jeff Ward’s infectious delight in playing Buggy is evident, and let’s not forget the standout performance by Alexander Maniatis as Kuro.
