Lawrence dedicated extensive time and effort to prepare for her role as Dominika Egorova. She trained for three months, working out three hours a day, six days a week, totaling 216 hours. She also spent up to 10-12 hours daily with her trainer Wong for another three months during the filming ofX-Men: First Class.

The New York Times said that JLaw did all the upper body moves herself inRed Sparrow.But when it got super technical with the footwork, her dance double Isabella Boylston came to the rescue. So, J Law was basically the face of the ballet, and Isabella was the fancy footwork behind the scenes.

The Oscar winner spilled the beans on what it took to get into dancing shape because part of preparing for Dominica was the physical training with the ballet — it wasn’t a walk in the park. The actress toldPeople:

“It was something that was on my mind constantly throughout the entire script.”

She worked with a dance instructor for months, six days a week, three hours a day, to nail the movement and body image for her role inRed Sparrow.The associate choreographer Kurt Froman said (viaPeople):

“I worked with Jen six days a week, three hours a day.”

Jennifer Lawrence had to put in a lot of effort to achieve the athletic and elegant body required for her role as Dominika inRed Sparrow,especially considering the character’s background as a ballerina as described in the novels.
