Channing Tatum and Salma Hayek’sMagic Mike’s Last Danceis the third and final film of the franchise that began in 2012. The first film wasMagic Mike, followed byMagic Mike XXLin 2015, and the franchise wrapped up withMagic Mike’s Last Dancein 2023.
Given its name, it’s no surprise that the movie included a lot of intense dance scenes. But doing one of these steps could have “nearly killed” the lead actress. Salma Hayek (who played the love interest of Mike inMagicMike’s Last Dance) revealed that in one of the scenes, things went drastically wrong that almost killed her.

Channing Tatum’s Stunt Almost Killed Salma Hayek
In an interview onJimmy Kimmel Live, Salma Hayek saidChanning Tatum“nearly killed” her in rehearsals when a lap dance move went wrong. Hayek ended up upside down with Tatum holding onto her pants. The México-born star recalled:
“You know, this one part that’s not in it is where I’m upside down, and my legs had to be somewhere. But upside down, one loses sense of direction, and I didn’t do what I was supposed to do. So in the rehearsal, I went like, head down, almost hit my head.”
Hayek added:
[Channing] held on to my pants, but I was really concerned because my pants were going away, and I couldn’t remember if I had underwear or not in this moment. So, instead of putting my hands to protect my head, I just held onto the pants. He’s like, ‘Put your hands up,’ and I’m like, ‘No, no, no, no.’”
The 57-year-old concluded:
“Everybody came in and kind of took me away from him, and he said, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ I said, ‘What’s wrong with me? You nearly killed me!’”
InMagic Mike’s Last Dance, Tatum returned as the titular stripper. He falls in love with a passionate, wealthy older woman (played by Salma Hayek) — who encourages him to organize a stripper stage show in London.

Salma Hayekopened up about her intimate scenes with Channing Tatum inSteven Soderbergh’s film. The Oscar-nominated star toldEntertainment Tonightabout what it was like to film the movie, which showed a sexy lap dance scene of her with Tatum.
She said that“it’s very physically challenging.”The Hollywood star also added that it was a “magical moment” that made her remember who she really was.
Hayek gave some insight into her character and continued that she would just sit around and watch 12 men semi-naked, dancing and doing pirouettes. And she got to “boss them around.”
