Scarlett Johansson Gets Anxious From Using Social Media
Recently,The Avengersactress was present on theGooppodcast by Gwyneth Paltrow, where she sat down with herIron Man 2co-star and talked about a plethora of things, one of them being why theLucyactress is not on social media. The host asked Johansson why she“doesn’t do Instagram?”To which theDon Jonactress shared that she “protects” herself by avoiding social media, as she is“too sensitive.”
“I just feel that it’s fundamentally not me. I have to protect myself. I’m too sensitive.”
Scarlett Johanssongave a more detailed explanation when she was onThe Skinny Confidential Him & Herpodcast prior before chatting with Paltrow on theGooppodcast.The Nanny Diariesactress said her“ego is too fragile”which does not allow her to be on social media and using social media would give her anxiety.
“My ego is too fragile. I can’t deal with it. My brain is too fragile, I’m like a delicate flower. I have enough anxiety.”
She explained how she used Instagram for only three days, and how using the app wasted her time and fed her unnecessary information.
“When I started realizing that I’d spent 20 minutes looking at somebody’s Instagram page who worked for a friend of mine — I now know you have a pit bull, two daughters, and live in Burbank — I was like, I just wasted 17 minutes of time. I now feel like I should move to California, get this specific dog and change my life in all these ways.”
She continued that she felt that she is missing so much, and this was something that she can not do for a long time.
“I felt so bad, like I was missing out on this random person’s life. I can’t do this. I’m too fragile; I have so much anxiety about other things.”
While the actress is too fragile to be on Instagram, she admitted that she does enjoy Tiktok for The Outset, her skincare brand, and she loves to create content for that social media platform.
Scarlett Johansson Enjoys Using TikTok
In the same episode ofThe Skinny Confidential Him & Herpodcast, theSingactress stated how much she loved using TikTok, and she enjoys making unique and engaging content for her brand on the platform, and she enjoys reading reviews left by consumers of her brand.
“[TikTok is] definitely fun. Every time I see it in our office, I then become like a three-year-old with her mom’s phone where I get completely absorbed into it. So, that’s how I know I can’t have it.”
While many stars are sketchy about having a social media platform especially on Instagram, sooner or later they would join the platform. This was seen in the case of Matthew Perry, who broke the platform when he announced that after so many years he has decided to make an account on Instagram. So fans of the actress should wait patiently as they might see her on the platform in the near future.
