In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Nikki Bella opened up about her breakup with John Cena, and it’s safe to say it wasn’t an easy decision for her. She revealed that she felt conflicted about her love for him and that he wasn’t the right person for her life.
“I think a lot of women get into this situation when it’s like, ‘I love this person, but I don’t know if it’s right for my life,’ and that’s a hard thing. Sometimes we meet amazing people, but we’re just meant to live a different life…”

Bella described how she had prayed about her situation and eventually felt she needed to walk away. The decision wasn’t easy, and she faced backlash from fans who had become invested in their love story. However, she knew that it was the right choice for her.
“I just got this feeling so deep in my gut of, like, ‘I need to walk away.’ And no one thought I would, but it was hitting me so hard. Even though it’s painful and even traumatizing, I just knew it was right.”

Nikki Bella also confessed that walking away from Cena was a traumatic experience. However, she knew in her gut that it was the right decision, even if it meant going through a painful process.
“You almost wish it was bad, because it’s so much easier to walk away. It’s so much harder to walk away when it’s loving.”
The decision to end a long-term relationship was difficult, especially for public figures like Bella and Cena.

Nikki Bella has now found love with American-RussianDancing With the Starsceleb Artem Chigvintsev, and the couple has a son named Matteo. At the time of the interview, they were still planning their wedding and were hoping to have Artem’s family in attendance.

But despite their happiness together, the pro-wrestler said she’s still dealing with the aftermath of her highly-publicized breakup with Cena. Nonetheless, Bella has been happily married to Chigvintsev since 2022 and has a 2-year-old son with him.
