Angus Cloud, best known for starring as Fezco “Fez” O’Neill, a local drug dealer in HBO’sEuphoria— was only 25 years of age when he died at his family’s home in Oakland, California. The reason for his death is still unknown. Yesterday, around 11:30 am on July 19, 2025, Oakland PD responded to a 911 call that Cloud’s mom made.
She reported a “possible overdose” and said that her son had no pulse. He was immediately announced dead on the scene. Cloud was working in a restaurant in Brooklyn, New York, when he was cast for his first acting role byEuphoria‘s casting director, Jennifer Venditti.

How Did Angus Cloud Die?
According to Cloud’s family members, the 25-year-old was said to have been struggling after getting back from Ireland, where his father was buried last week.
A family statement said:
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today.As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss.The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”
The statement added:
“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.
“We hope the world remembers him for his humour, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
The actor had posted a picture of his dad on Instagram on 14 July alongside the message — “miss u breh.”
Emergency services said they were called at about 11.30 am, but the “patient was determined to be already deceased” when they arrived at the location. The cause of death is currently unknown.
Euphoriacreator Sam Levinson said:
“There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented and way too young to leave us so soon. He also struggled, like many of us, with addiction and depression. I hope he knew how many hearts he touched. I loved him. I always will. Rest in peace and God Bless his family.”
HBO tweeted that it is “incredibly saddened” by Cloud’s death and called him “immensely talented.”

Many fans reacted to the news by saying HBO should cancelEuphoriabecause it’d be aimless to continue the show without Cloud.
