Being one of the biggest and most successful dark and gritty action franchises in history was something that was made possible by the actress and her bada*s persona as the lead star. But even though the franchise is still loved and revered by the fans of the horror and action genre alike, there may not be more to the story in the future, as stated by the actress herself.

Kate Beckinsale Hints That TheUnderworldFranchise May Be Done For Good

When we think about action stars in the film industry, our thoughts naturally gravitate toward stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. But in the early 2000s, that script was flipped when people saw actressKate Beckinsaledon the dark bodysuit and wield dangerous weapons in the monster-filled action franchiseUnderworld.

As the series progressed, the success of the films through box office numbers grew exponentially, even when it had mostly negative critical reviews. But it seems like we have already seen the last of what it had to offer in the past.

“I never felt there’s a sequel coming, ever. So I feel exactly the same as I always do, thatUnderworldis in the past, I’ve felt that way since [after] the first one. I suppose I still could. I highly doubt I would do another one. I feel like I’ve played that character a lot of times, so I highly doubt I would do that. But again I’ve been saying that since the first one. So, I don’t trust myself.”

As stated above, while she believes that there won’t be any more films from the franchise coming anytime soon, there’s a possibility of something cooking in the background.
