Staying at the apartment owned by Peter Jackson, the director of theLord of the RingsandHobbittrilogies, McKellen’s living situation was made slightly more difficult than it needed to be by Swift.

Speaking withGay Star News,Ian McKellen mentioned how he was almost starting to get comfortable at Peter Jackson’s property. However, his difficult times began after he was evicted by Taylor Swift when she bought Jackson’s apartment. Well, Swift turned out to be a brutal landlord for McKellen.

Ian McKellen Was Evicted By Taylor Swift

Living for a while inPeter Jackson‘s New York apartment, Ian McKellen mentioned how he was apparently unceremoniously booted out by Taylor Swift. Well, apparently, Swift purchased the New York property from theLord of the Ringsfilmmaker for a lucrative deal. Thus, upon purchasing the apartment, she obviously evicted McKellen, who was living for free.

Sharing the incident withGay Star NewsviaThe Guardian, Ian McKellen joked how he went homeless after Taylor Swift bought the apartment.
“When I was living in Peter Jackson’s apartment in New York, Taylor Swift bought it while I was there and I was thrown out before I wanted to leave. That hardly puts me in Taylor Swift’s team, does it?”

Ian McKellen Didn’t Have a Bad Blood With The Singer
Although he was suddenly kicked out of the place where he was almost starting to get comfortable, Ian McKellen didn’t have any hard feelings for Taylor Swift. Harboring no ill will towards the singer, the veteran actor understood the situation quite well. Despite joking about how he went homeless because of Swift, McKellen later declared his honest opinion.
“She bought [the apartment], she had every right to – I was just lodging there for free!”

Well, kicking out Ian McKellen wasn’t inTaylor Swift‘s plan. Thus, the singer felt bad after she realized that she evicted the actor who was at that time living on Peter Jackson’s property. Feeling bad about it, Swift later invited the actor to her concert, but McKellen had different plans.
“She did ask me to appear with Patrick Stewart at her show in LA, but I had something else to do that night.”
Realizing that Taylor Swift felt bad for evicting him, Ian McKellen first showed his love for Swift in an interview with Yahoo where he recited lyrics fromBad Blood.No pun intended – the actor rocked the song, and currently, they seem to have overcome the awkwardness between them.
