Powered by current-gen technology, the first new feature in the game isAmbush Hitting. This feature simulates the real experience of a hitter, letting you guess which side the pitcher is going to pitch.
The devs have also addedthree different reaction times for infielders. There arenew animationsto facilitate and complement these added reaction times, adding to the authenticity. Thehigh-rated players will have a quick start animation, while the not-so-high players will have a slower animation. Furthermore, each player has anindicator at the bottom so you get instant feedbackon their motion.
A newjump indicatorenables you to make more risky catches, empowered by various catch animations that can be played from multiple directions. This new meter will allow you to rob home runs and change the flow of the game.
If you master these new features, there’s a higher difficulty for you to test yourself. MLB The Show 25 comes with the newG.O.A.T. difficulty. This tweaks up your experience with faster Fastballs, bigger breaks on off-speed pitches, a tighter swing timing window, and a smaller PCI.
