While things haven’t been the most optimal for Warner Bros. Discovery, following the bombing of several DC flicks in a row, another major IP is supposedly doing the damage control for the studios. Premiered back in the mid-90s, the Jennifer Aniston-ledFriendsbecame one of the biggest sitcoms of all time throughout its decade-long run, pulling around 52.5 million viewers for its final episode in 2004.

However, the success ofFriendswasn’t limited to its end, as the following years witnessed viewers revisiting the show even to this day, and it appears the sitcom still makes the studio a hefty amount.

FriendsStill Racks in Huge Numbers for Warner Bros. Discovery
Like any other great show that ends on a high,Friends‘ popularity kept on ascending in the years after its ending, and thanks to the rise of social media, it keeps on pulling new viewers. As a result, Warner Bros. Discovery racks in around $1B annually from syndication reruns perreports, which even surpasses the net worth of one of the biggest Hollywood Stars,Dwayne Johnson.
The lead stars of the iconic sitcom also make hefty paychecks, earning 2% of the syndication income. This results in an estimated $20M annual paycheck each for Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.

Jennifer Aniston Wasn’t Pleased With This Aspect of Working inFriends
While working inFriendssubstantially boosted her career and skyrocketed her net worth, which currently stands at $320M, it wasn’t all sunshine and roses for the actress on sets. AlthoughJennifer Aniston‘s Rachel’s hairstyle has become iconic like the character itself, theMurder MysteryStar wasn’t a big fan of it, as maintaining it was a hassle. Apart from expressing her distaste for the hairstyle despite her love for her hairstylist Chris McMillan, maintaining the iconic hairstyle for the production was extremely distressing.
“I had to see him every six weeks to keep this darn thing up, though, because it was a “hairdo”. It was a pain in the butt, to be honest, one of the hardest hairstyles to maintain, unless Chris did it. I’ve got very thick, full hair so it would take on a shape of its own that I didn’t always want. I don’t think I looked very good with it.”She told TheTelegraph.
