Following the dismissal of the theatre performance ofHarry Potter And The Cursed Childdue to COVID-19, Rowling’s company posted a 74% drop in profits.

Established in 2012, JK Rowling’s production company enjoyed massive popularity and financial success. However, the pandemic seemingly affected the business and caused their revenue to be halved within a year. As per reports, the company had a $2.2M profit in 2022, as compared to a $8.37M profit the year before.

However, amid such tumultuous times, JK Rowling’s production company confirmed adaptingThe Ink Black Heartfor the BBC. Willing to regain their profits, the company mentioned that production will begin by the end of 2023, and the premiere is slated to happen in 2024. The adaptation is set to become Season 6 ofStrike.

This confirms that BBC is willing to renewJK Rowling‘sStrikeseries after issuing an apology over her comments after guests on news shows accused her of being transphobic.
