Nanami Kento, one of the most important and loved characters ofJujutsu Kaisenmet his impending doom at the hands of Mahito in the latest episode ofJujutsu Kaisenseason 2. In the Shibuya arc, Nanami appeared to have been fighting for an eternity. His frustrated sigh, surrounded by transfigured people, about how Malaysia would have been nice somehow seemed incredibly tragic in his pitiful state.

Kento Nanami’s Death

Nanami is one of the most adored characters because, like Gojo, he wished to shield his students from the harsh realities of jujutsu society. However, his end has left the fans in shambles hoping that there might be some way that the character can come back to life.

Fans are devising theories and notions to find out anyway that could bring back their favorite character and maybe change the story again. Ultimately he will return to the series, but his return will be more devastating for the fans.

Nanami Kento’s Death Cannot Be Undone

In the last episode, fans saw Nanami half-burnt roaming around Shibuya. It was later revealed that he was searching for Megumi and Nobara to save them. While roaming it was shown that he was imagining his life in Malaysia simultaneously beating transfigured humans.

He was exhausted and already on the verge of death. However, he is faced by Mahito who destroys him to shreds. Mahito can change a person’s physical form and he can destroy them with a single touch thanks to his Cursed Technique. Using this method, he quickly destroyed Nanami’s body.

Gojo Meets Nanami

In contrast to other physical wounds that might be healed with the use of a Reversed Curse Technique, Nanami Kento’s body was utterly destroyed. It is therefore impossible for his body to be recovered, making a comeback unfeasible. Although, certainly, Nanami can’t make a physical return to the series, he will still make an appearance later in the series, but fans would be disheartened to see him in that situation.

Nanami’s Return in Manga After His Death

In theJujutsu Kaisenmanga, Nanami Kento does make an appearance later on, but it’s in the afterlife. After being killed by Sukuna in their battle, Gojo Satoru travels to the afterlife, where he encounters Yu Haibara, Nanami Kento, Suguru Geto, Masamichi Yaga, and other deceased friends and coworkers. Furthermore, there were additional individuals involved in the Star Plasma Vessel incident.

It was evident that Nanami was making fun of Gojo for being content to die at the hands of a more powerful foe. He can also be seen showing sympathy for him because, in their last moments, both of them remained loyal to who they were. This scene is truly sad for both Gojo and Nanami fans as one fanbase had to live the death of their favorite character, while another had to see their favorite character in the afterlife.
