Jujutsu Kaisenhas the potential to become one of the greatest anime of all time. Gege Akutami’s magnum opus has been creating a buzz with the anime as well as the manga. While the anime just began one of the greatest arcs ever, the Shibuya Incident arc, the manga is close to wrapping up the Culling Game. But one thing that remains the same in both cases is that there are lots of deaths.
One of the deaths that truly caused pain to theJujutsu Kaisenfandom is that of Nanami Kento. Nanami Kento was portrayed as a tough and strong man, but he was kind from the inside. Killing him off so brutally that to in front of Yuji Itadori is the most brutal thing that Gege Akutami has done. While many people argued that he could have been saved by the Reversed Cursed Technique, in reality, it was not possible.
Reversed Cursed Technique Cannot Bring Back Nanami Kento
Many people still wish that Nanami was somehow revived. The only way he and the others could have been revived is through the Reversed Cursed Technique, but that won’t be possible now. Several Jujutsu sorcerers can use the Reversed Cursed Technique. Yuta Okkotsu and Shoko Ieiri can use it to heal others.

In the case of Nanami, it is not applicable because his torso was completely annihilated. There was nothing left. The Reversed Cursed Technique can indeed be used to grow broken bones and limbs, but it cannot grow a brain or heart, the two most important organs for Jujutsu sorcery. Mahito used Idle Configuration to dismantle his body, and nothing was left from which the body could grow back.
Moreover, the Reversed Cursed Technique requires a lot of energy to heal others. Satoru Gojo also mentioned that until his head is destroyed, he can keep on using the technique. So, it proves that sorcerers whose heads were destroyed cannot be brought back through the overpowered technique.
What is the Reversed Cursed Technique inJujutsu Kaisen?
The negative emotions get aligned to give birth to Cursed Energy. The Cursed Energy is used by the sorcerers and Cursed Spirits to fuel their Cursed Technique through Jujutsu. On the other hand, the Reversed Cursed Technique reversed the curse energy to turn it into positive energy. It is a complex process, and not everyone can perform it. One of the best applications of the technique is to heal human bodies.

In simpler words, Reversed Cursed Energy is formed by two Cursed Energy joined together to form a positive energy. Going back to elementary school, people will remember that negative and negative becomes positive. Nanami Kento and the others could have lived if they could use the Reversed Cursed Technique themselves. Nanami was half burned before Mahito killed him.
If any other Reversed Cursed Technique user was around, they could have easily healed him, which is another point as to why he could not be saved. Satoru Gojo, Yuta Okkotsu, Shoko Ieiri, Kinji Hakari, and Yuki Tsukumo were not around Nanami’s death. Gege Akutami could have gone easier on Nanami, but he did not want to leave any controversy since leaving the burned body could potentially raise the question of revival.
