During a June 2005 interview with60 Minutes Australia,Tom Cruisewas questioned about his Scientology beliefs and prominent Hollywood status. Journalist Peter Overton also seized the opportunity to ask Cruise about his former wife,Nicole Kidman. Overton posed a series of inquiries concerning Kidman, aiming to shed light on Cruise’s perspective on their past partnership.
As the interview progressed, Cruise reached a point where he believed the questions had crossed a line. Reacting to this sentiment, the renowned actor, known for his role inMission: Impossible, expressed his concern: “You’re stepping over the line now. You’re stepping over the line. You know you are.“
When Overton justified his questions as being what the public desired to know, Cruise responded assertively, stating,
“Peter, you want to know. Take responsibility for what you want to know. Don’t say what other people think. This is a conversation that I’m having with you, right?I’m just telling you right now, OK. Just put your manners back in.”

Tom Cruise And Nicole Kidman’s Projects Together
