The diverse and large cast ofOne Piecehas compelling struggles, nuanced personality traits, and dynamic character arcs as they strive for their adventurous goals. The creator ofOne Piece, Eichiro Oda, has skillfully crafted this enduring series by giving each character a deeper sense of personality, motivation, and backstory, making it incredibly memorable.

On the other hand, some viewers find the series’ length intimidating and lose interest in it. Those who have seen the entire series, on the other hand, are aware that its length is what gives each character the attention and development they need to become well-known to viewers for an extended period.
One such character whose development was greatly appreciated by fans and became the justified reason for the 1000+ episode journey was Karoo, Vivi’s duck who may have not played a very crucial role in the Alabasta Saga but surely made an impact on the audience.

Who is Karoo inOne Piece?
Super spot-billed duck Karoo is Nefertari Vivi’s pet. Karoo broke into the company called Baroque Works with his owner, Vivi. He ultimately joined her on the Straw Hat Pirates’ journey, and after their cover was compromised, they spent the majority of the Arabasta Saga together. Since Vivi’s early years, Karoo has been her pet and friend.
By saving her from the rebels and bringing her to Alubarna in Arabasta, he demonstrates his love for her. Being the fastest of the group and having excellent training for both carrying and acclimating riders, Karoo boasts the peak of his species’ natural speed and stamina. Even when working in close coordination with Vivi, Karoo’s combat skills are almost nonexistent.

Karoo’s development during the Alabasta Saga and many other insignificant characters who attain some kind of impossible feat in the series is the sole reason why the diehardOne Piecefans don’t mind its longevity and instead are happy for a series that caters to such small details.

Karoo’s Development ThroughOne Piece
One of the main reasons fans dislike theOne Piecefranchise is its length. As evidenced by the fact thatOne Piecehas over a thousand episodes and chapters, its strongest points are its 1000+ chapters, which makes the series one of the greatest. The creation of Karoo is the finest illustration of this.
Fans praised Karoo for shielding Vivi and changing the storyline so that she wouldn’t be killed or tramped on while she was stopping the rebels. Fans were surprised to learn that Vivi’s comic relief pet sidekick would have such a significant role, but this proved whyOne Piece’senormous runtime allows the series to fully flesh out each character.

There would simply not be enough time in any other series to portray Karoo as a hero who saves the day which not only makesOne Pieceand Oda san unique but also justifies the length of the series in a big way.
