Kate Winslet has worked with some of the greatest directors and actors. From doing roles that have gotten her Oscar nominations to working with people who are renowned throughout the Hollywood industry, she has never once proven her talent to be underwhelming. With her extravagant talent, she can do movies of her choice. However, it is not always that she enjoys the decisions she made.

When it comes to working with the people she highly adores, the actress is more than open about how much she loves them and would never mind spending a couple of extra hours with them even if it meant that they were working. One director she has been highly vocal about with regard to her disapproval of him just so happens to be Scarlett Johansson’s favorite director.

Kate Winslet Regretted Working With Woody Allen

Kate Winsletwas not very fond of how things came to be after she worked with Woody Allen and Roman Polanski inAmmonite.The movie also starred Saoirse Ronan and the two were sharing a deep bond throughout the film. Even with the image set up ofWoody Allen, Winslet found her experience working with him to be good. However, that was not enough.

“What was remarkable to me is that these are individuals who have been feted and praised and patted on the back for decades in this industry. And so by and large, it was presented to actors that these were people who it was OK to work with. But now, of course, I feel I can just say ‘I shouldn’t have done.’”

After all the allegations against him because of the #MeToo movement, it was only a matter of time before he was boycotted by the industry. So once Winslet got to know about his actions as well, she was not very proud of the fact that she worked with Allen. In fact, she admitted that she should not have done the movie at all.

Kate Winslet may have been disheartened because of her work with Woody Allen, but she did focus on a truth she was not willing to keep from the public. Even with all the allegations against them, she thoroughly enjoyed her time with the two directors.

“I don’t know anything, really, and whether any of it is true or false. Having thought it all through, you put it to one side and just work with the person. Woody Allen is an incredible director. So is Roman Polanski. I had an extraordinary working experience with both of those men, and that’s the truth.”

Both Woody Allen and Roman Polanski created an environment for the actors where they could express themselves and enjoy themselves as they bring their talents to life magnificently. She set those controversies aside to understand their talent as directors.
