The campaign received a certain amount of backlash with many criticizing why celebrities and millionaires like them are not providing more for the affected people instead of asking money from the public who are struggling to make ends meet. Johnson seems to have realized this and addressed his fans discussing the criticism.

Dwayne Johnsonand Oprah Winfrey recently teamed up to create a relief fund to help and financially support the affected residents of the wildfires in Maui, Hawaii. They received some criticism from a significant number of the public, criticizing them for not providing more, instead of asking for money from the common people. Johnson recently addressed this criticism in anInstagrampost, saying

“…money ain’t falling out of the sky, and it’s not growing on trees, and there’s a lot of people out there who’s living paycheck to paycheck. And I get it, and I know what that’s like. When we first launched the fund, there was some backlash. I get it and I completely understand, and I could’ve been better. And next time I will be better.”

It is very inspiring to see someone like Johnson who is a major A-list actor in the industry trying to do something good for people in need. He is also humble and open when he does something wrong and promises that he will do better. This shows Johnson’s generosity and transparency that he has with his fans which is rare in the industry.

John Cena Violated Dwayne Johnson’s Trust During Their WWE Feud

John Cena recently talked about his now-infamous WWE feud with Dwayne Johnson which led to a real-life beef between the two superstars. Cena revealed that he is the one to blame and he became a hypocrite and a disrespectful individual to convince Johnson to stay in the WWE instead of becoming an actor. He said, (viaVariety)

“If you’ve been following what I’ve tried to do, especially as of late, publicly and personally to Dwayne Johnson, I’ve stated that although I thought I was trying to do what’s best for business,” Cena said about starting the feud. “I went about it the wrong way. I violated his trust and I made allegations about his perspective that I knew nothing about. And deep down, I was a fan. I wanted The Rock back [in WWE]. I wanted to do anything to get The Rock back, but I did it the wrong way.”

Dwayne is a hell of a guy… I became who I despised. I see that perspective and I understand it. It was a great learning experience from my mistake with feuding with The Rock.”

The two superstars recently made up their difference and hugged it out in a recent WWE appearance. Both are now among the biggest names in the industry, starring in some of the biggest movies and franchises and having several incredibly successful projects.
