A friend in need is a friend indeed, and Kidman proves again and again that she is a friend indeed!
According to RadarOnline, “Nicole is totally helping Reese navigate her divorce. That’s what friends are for.” They further claimed thatNicole Kidmanhas been assisting Witherspoon by addressing her divorce from her ex-husbandTom Cruise.
Aside from being co-stars of the hit show, Witherspoon and Kidman enjoy one of Hollywood’s most pure friendships. Kidman told E! News in June 2016:
“I love her… We have a lot in common and are quite close. I consider myself fortunate to have her as a friend.“
Witherspoon once described Kidman as her “beautiful, soulful, talented friend” while presenting her with the Tribute Honor at the Gotham Awards. And that is not even all of it! The Whiskey in a Teacupauthor andJim Tothhad been married for over 12 years, having married in 2011. Tennessee James, their 10-year-old son, is their only child.
According to the statement “adequate and sufficient provisions for the parties’ assets and debts,”Reese Witherspoondecided that a settlement was the wisest course of action. The actress said she believed the matter would eventually reach a settlement.The prenup also said, “It is anticipated that the parties will enter into a Martial Dissolution Agreement and Permanent Parenting Plan that will be submitted to the Court for approval.” as stated in the filing.
In a joint public statement on her Instagram on March 24, Witherspoon and Toth announced their divorce. The statement read:
“It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.“
There has been much guesswork about what caused the divorce, with some believing Witherspoon’s demanding work schedule was a big factor, while others claim Toth’s mid-life crisis was the tipping point.
