Olivia Munn is one of the several women who accused director Brett Ratner of harassment and misconduct. After her revelation, which happened at the early start of her career, she was faced with persistent threats that made her reconsider leaving the country for good.

Six women came forward to confess the traumatic experience they encountered with theRush Hourdirector. This resulted in Ratner stepping away from all of his Warner Brothers activities until the issue had been settled.

Olivia Munn Accused Director Brett Ratner Of Misconduct
Olivia Munnrecalled to theLos Angeles Timeshow in 2004, when she was at the beginning of her career, she visited Brett Ratner on the set ofAfter the Sunset. She was asked to deliver a meal to his trailer. The man who asked her to do the task assured her no one was inside. To her surprise, Ratner was there, and he was “furiously m****rbating.” Munn stated:
“He walked out… with his belly sticking out, no pants on, shrimp cocktail in one hand, and he was furiously mrbating in the other. And before I literally could even figure out where to escape or where to look, he elated.”

The actress was so shocked she let out a startled scream before running back to the man who asked her to deliver the director’s meal. Much to her dismay, the man did not care at all. Munn continued:
“It wasn’t a shock. It wasn’t surprise. It was just, ‘Ugh, sorry about that.’”

Munn called her sister to tell the story, and she was advised to talk to a lawyer. The attorney only told her not to go against a powerful Hollywood figure. Munn lamented:
“That did leave an impact on me. How broken do women have to be before people listen?”

Ratner appeared in theAttack of the ShowTV program and said he used to go out with the actress. He shared:
“I used to date Olivia Munn. I will be honest with everybody here. When she was ‘Lisa.’ That was the problem. She wasn’t Asian back then. I b*nged her a few times… but I forgot her.”
A few days later, he took back his words and admitted he never slept with Munn. Still, the director continued to harass the actress at each encounter. He also boasted of e****lating on magazine covers with her picture in it.

Olivia Munn Received Threats After Coming Forward
In an interview with theAssociated Press, Olivia Munn revealed she faced “threatening calls” amid her misconduct accusation againstBrett Ratner. She said:
“It’s never an easy decision because you’ve got people with a lot of money and a lot of power… Nobody wants to disrupt the status quo because they make money, and you get a lot of threatening calls and people threatening your livelihood. You’re doing the math in your head like, ‘Do I live in Puerto Rico? Do I go to Costa Rica?’ But at the end of the day, you just know that you have to push for it.”
Munn admitted that the false rumors about her alleged relationship with Ratner infuriated her, and she has made the conscious choice to never work with him. In fact, she likened him to a bully who won’t just quit.
