There are specific shōnen stories that are either adored by the fans or respected by them. They get famous for the right reason, and it has often been seen how some of these stories end up becoming iconic, and several aspiring Mangaka take inspiration from them.

While wondering about such scenarios, fans can’t help but think aboutNaruto. It is one of the anime that gave its viewers so much to learn from. It might be the first anime for several fans, but it stayed within their hearts. However, as new generation shōnen are released, new stories are being released. And one of the best new-generation shōnen isJujutsu Kaisen. Fans of both anime settled on contrasting two of the most popular characters from each series: Toji Fushiguro and Itachi Uchiha.

In what respect is Toji Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen different from Itachi Uchiha?
Itachi Uchiha’s betrayal inNarutostarted from inter-clan feuding. He was an intelligent prodigy and could sense the stirring war between the Konoha and Uchiha Clan. He was working under the secret orders of the Hokage. However, the entire ordeal turned bitter when he started working under Danzo, who was the leader of ANBU black ops and a renowned anti-Uchiha proponent. His only motive was to entirely wipe the Uchiha Clan off the village of Konoha. The failed attempt to bring peace with the help of his comrade, Shisui, resulted in an open war between the two communities. Left with no choice, Itachi killed his entire clan under Danzo’s command. After being exiled from Konoha, he joined the Terrorist Organization Akatsuki to serve as a spy and look over his village.
Toji Fushiguro is one of the side characters inJujutsu Kaisenwho makes his first appearance in the Hidden Inventory Arc. Born into the Zenin Clan, he lacked curse techniques to almost zero. This led him to be ostracised by the clan, so he decided to leave them and adopted his wife’s surname, hence the name Fushiguro. Over the course of his life, he ended up becoming a mercenary, hunting bounties, which gave him the title of “Sorcerer Killer.”

Toji was born in the Zenin Clan, one of the three elite clans in the world ofJujutsu Kaisen. Zenins have always admired the value of cursed techniques over anything else. However, Toji didn’t have any cursed energy, which implies that he was born as a non-sorcerer. This made the entire clan hate him, which resulted in him getting completely shunned by them. This feeling of hatred channels abuse in Toji’s younger years. He got his noticeable scar on the lips from getting locked in a pit of cursed spirits for disciplinary actions. Due to being tormented by his own family members, he decided to leave the Zenin Clan. This also fueled the rage and hatred within him regarding the corrupt Jujutsu society. Even the Mangaka, Gege Akutami, stated clearly in the manga that the reason behind Toji’s unstable psyche is his clan and the Jujutsu world’s ill-treatment.
