Based on Lee Child’s 2005 novelOne Shot,the film follows a former Military Police officer who is called back to investigate a case accusing a former sniper of killing five people.
Tom Cruise took the lead role in the film, and Pike portrayed Helen Rodin, James Barr’s defense attorney. Talking about her experience of working with theMission Impossiblestar, she shared that she found it hard to act when Cruise had his shirt off.

Rosamund Pikejoined the cast of the 2012 action thrillerJack Reacher,and she was excited to work alongsideTom Cruiseand get to know one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Pike shared that she was thrilled to work with him, and it was like a dream come true for her.

Pike shared that once she told the director of the film Christopher McQuarrie, why he would ask her to act while Cruise was standing just“three feet away shirtless.” She told him,“What are you trying to do to me here?”However, she also claimed that she was surprised by theVanilla Skyactor’s ability to relax his co-stars.

She also shared that theKnight and Daystar is a great“comedic actor”and puts his co-stars at ease by engaging with them.“He totally puts you at ease. He is willing to engage with who you are. He’s interested in you as a person,”Pike shared. TheHostilesactress shared that he is so powerful while working that it’s hard to match his energy. Pike also stated that she would love to work with him again.
