As theOne Pieceanime remake has been announced, fans ofTokyo Ghoulare also demanding a remake for their favorite series as the previous one was a failure in various aspects. Within the manga community,Tokyo Ghoulmanga is regarded as one of the best manga series; however, it never received the anime adaptation it deserved.

The manga was first published by the author in September 2011 in Weekly Young Jump. The three-year manga series came to an end, and all of the chapters were collected in fourteen volumes. After that, the manga was taken up for an anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot. An original 12-episode anime first aired in September 2014, and a second, 12-episode season with a new plot debuted in 2015.
However, the anime was a massive flop and fans were deeply disappointed by the series because not only if leave out many details, but it didn’t do justice to the characters too. And now, after finding out thatOne Pieceis getting an anime remake, fans have been demanding one forTokyo Ghoultoo.

Tokyo GhoulAnime Series Was a Disaster
Much criticism has been leveled at the anime adaptation ofTokyo Ghoul.It is because the anime was unable to provide a legitimate adaptation of the manga. Many have criticized the animation as being of very poor quality, and the plot significantly deviates from the original work.
They were so badly directed, so badly animated, and so confusing to viewers who only watched anime. Furthermore, because there were significant changes between the manga and the anime, the anime adaptation also presented continuity issues.

The animation was a major factor in the disillusionment that the greater majority of fans felt towards the series, even though they were disappointed by the differences between the manga and the anime. All in all, theTokyo Ghoulanime series was a disaster and although the manga got much love from the fans, the anime series was criticized a lot for a majority of reasons and now fans demand a remake for the series.

Fans Demand Remake ofTokyo GhoulAnime
Since the news ofOne Pieceanime getting a remake was spread,Tokyo Ghoulfans have been demanding a remake too. However, this is not the first time fans have been demanding the remake ofTokyo Ghoul.
The anime series’ rights are owned by Studio Pierrot, which also handled the original adaptation. Despite the demand, no formal information about a possible reboot has been released as of yet. And after the recent news, fans have once again gathered on X(Twitter) to demand an anime remake for their favorite manga series.

Although it is highly unlikely thatTokyo Ghoulwould get an anime remake as the manga has ended years ago and the Studios have shown no interest in adapting and recreatingTokyo Ghoul, nothing is certain. As the wave of live-actions have hit the world and brought success with it, it could be possible that making anime remakes of old anime series could be a game changer in future.
