Around that time, Tarantino was also interested in creating a fourthBeverly Hills Copmovie with Murphy. In 2005, Murphy told Joblo (viaIrish Examiner),
“Quentin is insane but good insane. He came to me with an idea for another Cop, and we’ve been talking about that. If it comes off, great – he’s one crazy guy worth working with.”

Unfortunately, the fourthBeverly Hills Copmovie never happened and Murphy didn’t appear in 2009’sInglourious Basterdseither.

Paramount Pictures has been trying hard to create a fourthBeverly Hills Copmovie film with Eddie Murphy
Earlier this year, Murphy gave his fans an update on the fourthBeverly Hills Copmovie, explaining that they have been trying to create it for many years. The actor toldCollider,
“We tried for years and years, maybe 10, 12 years, and I must have read five or six different scripts, and it was never right. The studio was like, ‘Let’s go. Here it is.’ It was like, ‘It’s just not it.’ Jerry Bruckheimer got back in there, and he knows his s**t, and he put it together.”

It has been revealed that Netflix is all set to distribute this fourth film. The first three films in the franchise have grossed a total of $712 million at the worldwide box office, making it one of the biggest comedy franchises. It might be possible that fans never get to see Murphy working with Tarantino as the director has announced his next film, 2024’sThe Movie Critic, will be his last film as a director.
