Samsung Working on One UI 8 Update Instead of One UI 7.1
According to tipster IceUniverse, the next version of One UI is One UI 8.0 and the company has canceled its plans to roll out One UI 7.1/ One UI 7.1.1. The company is yet to roll outAndroid 15to its older smartphones and the One UI 7 update delay has frustrated fans and users alike.

Given IceUniverse’s reliable track record, if Samsung does indeed skip these minor updates, Android 16 will arrive on time for Samsung smartphones. It’s a redemption arc of sorts for the South Korean giant who is known for rolling timely updates.
Google has announced thatAndroid 16will be available in Q2 2025 which means it will release before the end of June. This means you can expect it to be released earlier than before. Samsung is following in Google’s footsteps and wants to align its One UI 8 update with the newer version of Android.
