Tailor Swift could have done a cameo inThe Twilight Saga: New Moon
As per the reports, theBlank Spacesinger was a massive fan ofThe Twilight Sagamovie. The singer was dating the franchise’s star Taylor Lautner at the time. And she wanted to play a small role inThe Twilight Saga: New Moon, however, her dream could not be fulfilled.
In an interview forThe Twilight Effect, a podcast hosted byTwilightfame Ashley Greene, the film director Chris Weitz revealed that Swift’s team tried hard for the pop sensation to be a part of the movie. The director said,
“Taylor Swift and I had the same agent at the time, and he said, ‘Taylor would like to be in this movie — not because of you, but she’s a Twi-hard.'”
Swift was a huge fan of the franchise, which was adapted from Stephenie Meyer’s books, and she just wanted to be on set for any role. Her agent reportedly told the filmmaker,
“She will be someone at the cafeteria, or the diner, or whatever, but she just wants to be in this movie.”
However, the director decided against the idea as he thought that Taylor Swift’s presence on the sets will be too much of a distraction. Weitz said,
“The hardest thing for me was to be like, ‘The moment that Taylor Swift walks onto the screen, for about five minutes nobody is going to be able to process anything.'”
Robert Pattinsonand Kristen Stewart’s movie became a box-office hit with a gross collection of $709 million worldwide.

Chris Weitz regrated not roping in Taylor Swift forNew Moon
The director confessed in the podcast that he regrets not working withTaylor Swiftbecause it meant throwing away the chance to hang out with the pop sensation. He said,
“I was like, ‘Wow, I could have been, like, hanging out with Taylor Swift, and maybe we could’ve been friends or something.'”
He further added,
“She must’ve just been like, ‘Who is this jerk who would say no?’ But sometimes you make decisions and you go, ‘This is for the best. It wasn’t to be.'”
Swift finally got a chance to work in the 2010’s romantic comedyValentine’s Daywith Taylor Lautner, her then-boyfriend. She has also appeared on episodes of shows likeCSIandNew Girl.
