JujutsuKaisenis one of the highest-selling mangas and a top-rated anime series written by Gege Akutami. The series is continuously a topic of discussion and has uncountable fans and viewers worldwide. However, the current adaptation of the Shibuya arc includes a broken rule that has been followed since Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 and was allotted by Gege Akutami.

What makesJujutsuKaisenan outstanding story is the inclusion of several techniques and powers, followed up by narration so that viewers can better understand it. As seen in season 1, the narration could have been more present. Still, due to the Shibuya arc having countless characters with several techniques, the upcoming episodes will move forward with narration.

Which rule by Gege Akutami was broken in Season 2 ofJujutsu Kaisen
Gege Akutami, the author ofJujutsuKaisen, made sure to remove the monologues or compact them so that the viewers could focus more on the animation. As seen in season 1 of the series, the amount of explanation was meager, which was a rule by Gege Akutami himself.
However, the Shibuya arc has broken the rule that has been followed since S1 and even depicts that the narration will occur a lot more in upcoming episodes for the enjoyment of viewers.

This can be seen during Itadori’s fight with the grasshopper curse, which includes a significant chunk of narration. The upcoming episodes of the series have some very great yet confusing moments.
It would have been impossible to adapt the Shibuya arc without narration, considering the wide range of techniques that are going to be animated, and would have led to fans getting extremely confused.

Why was the rule broken?
There is a lot of contrast between the previous season ofJujutsuKaisenand the recent ongoing season of the franchise. Season 1 was lighthearted and enjoyable, so fans were clear.
However, season 2 is an entirely different thing altogether. The story has become extremely serious; new characters will be introduced over time, and their abilities could be confusing.

If the studio followed the no narration method from season 1, fans would have been left wondering how things were working, and even if they somehow tried to compress the monologue, it still would not be enough.
Leaving out the complete narration is something the show cannot do anymore, as it plays a pivotal role in the story, and terminating it will be a wrong decision.
At the moment, it seems that the series’ upcoming episodes will contain narration, which shows that the team is much more determined to make the season a success.
