Who is the Shapeshifting Villain, Clayface?
Introduced inDetective Comics #40in 1940, Clayface was an identity adapted by a B-list actor based on a character he portrayed in a horror film and became a frequent adversary of Batman. He has a body that seems to be made out of clay and has shape-shifting abilities.
The identity is also adapted by several other DC supervillains. Clayface has made numerous appearances over the years from comic books to video games. And multiple actors have already donned the character on the screen, including Kirk Baltz portrayed the DC villain inBirds of Prey, and Brian McManamon inGotham.

He has been one of Batman’s prominent foes and is also among those who are yet to make a live-action incarnation in aBatmanfilm. Matt Reeves’The Batman 2could finally introduce the live-action Clayface alongside Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
However, the script is constantly changing, and nothing can be confirmed until the studio’s official confirmation. Filming forThe Batmansequel is expected to start in November this year.
