While fans await an official release date announcement for theSilent Hill 2remake, the title is finally up for pre-order through GameStop and Video Games Plus, a Canadian video game retailer, and Amazon. TheSilent Hill 2remake was first announced back in October last year at the Silent Hill Transmission event.
While no official announcement has been made so far, a Steam listing last month with the game’s achievements list sparked a discussion about a possible announcement soon. No other developments were seen last month, but now that the game is up for pre-order, there’s increased speculation about Konami releasing more details soon.
Silent Hill 2 Remake Pre-Order Goes Live, Price Revealed

Will mentioned that he received the news of pre-orders through emails from GameStop and upon checking the Video Games Plus website. Will posted the first tweet about the pre-orders yesterday and followed up earlier today about the game being on sale onAmazonas well, priced at 69.99 USD.
GameStop replied to Will’s post with the eyes and thinking emojis, to which a fan further questioned GameStop as to what it meant. GameStop replied to the fan with a vague post that read, “Maybe we’ll have some good news in the future,” without revealing any actual date or timeline.
The game’s description page on Steam has been regularly updated, including a confirmation of language subtitles adding Brazilian, Portuguese, and Ukrainian. The in-game achievements forSilent Hill 2remake were also recently updated to reveal the game has 12 achievements in total.
The updates were taken as a sign of things to come with the rapid developments pointing to an update by Konami coming soon.
Silent Hill 2 Remake Features and Details on the Amazon Listing

The original game came out more than 20 years ago, in 2001, on the 25th of September. The title was regarded as one of the best horror games of the era. It was also considered one of the best games overall upon release. Gamers who played the original over the past year or so have been praising the story as well as the overall horror experience and the atmosphere in the game.
Fans are no doubt waiting impatiently for the remake’s release or an announcement, which is now expected any time, along with a new full trailer.
